It is also used in all types of carbon, low alloy and high alloy steels for deoxidizing purposes and is used in production of ferroalloys using\u00a0<strong>Silicothermite<\/strong>\u00a0process as well.<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Silicon is used as alloying element in production of electrical steels that are used in transformer cores and electrical motors.<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/eshtehardalloys.com\/en\/\">Ferrosilicon<\/a>\u00a0is used as silicon donor for up to 3% in production of gray and ductile iron.<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Ferrosilicon is the base material for the production of\u00a0<strong>ferrosilicon magnesium<\/strong>\u00a0and foundry inoculants.<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Used as a part of the composition of electrode coatings in arc welding<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text]<\/div>\t\r\n\r\n<div  class=\"qodef-tab-container\" id=\"tab-micro-silica-applications\" data-icon-pack=\"font_awesome\" data-icon-html=\"&lt;i class=&quot;qodef-icon-font-awesome fa  &quot; &gt;&lt;\/i&gt;\">\r\n    [vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The addition of\u00a0<strong>silica dust<\/strong>\u00a0to concrete remains inert initially.
